RICHARD HEALY

HOLIDAY

22 APR – 23 MAY

‘Holiday’ is Richard Healy’s second solo exhibition, these works emerging whilst studying and working overseas. Healy continues to explore situations and relationships and what it is to be human. Using digital collage as a starting point, Healy re-contextualizes his source material to construct images of people in ambiguous situations, leading the viewer to question.

Healy brings reality and fiction, time and space, onto a single canvas, creating anxiety and uneasiness, challenging preconceptions. The paintings tow the line somewhere between figuration and abstraction, provoking a sinister sense of unease as the figures constantly lead your eyes around the pictures.

This is Richard’s second solo exhibition at emerge ART SPACE.

TANYA VAN IRSEN NEW WORKS
3 – 27 JUN Using everyday urban objects as muse, Tanya
van Irsen captures the formal qualities from
these objects and converts them into hypnotic sequences of pattern and unity. The control and order used transforms these objects for reflective consideration.
This is Tanya’s second solo exhibition at emerge ART SPACE.
