The Collie Art Gallery opened in 2015 and is Western Australia’s first purpose build gallery to be constructed since the Art Gallery of WA was built. The gallery aims to provide high quality cultural experiences to the regional areas of the South West and it has been very successful in maintaining excellent standards in the two years that it has been operational. It provides a workshop space for a range of arts activities and encourages emerging artists in their practice.
We work closely with two other leading galleries in the region, Art Geo – Busselton and the Bunbury Regional Art Galleries. In 2018 we expect to host a major Art Prize, the Collie Art Award with the major acquisitive award expected to be in the region of $50,000.00. Announcements about this prize will be made shortly.
